About
Erica Malachowski is a physical artist and creative based in New York City. Her work centers on femininity in modernity and ancestral expanses.
A San Diego native, Erica grew up as a ballet and modern dancer, performing in concert works for San Diego Dance Theatre and Eveoke, in operas for San Diego Lyric Opera, and musicals with the San Diego REPertory Theater. At eighteen, Erica moved to New York City to earn her BFA in Musical Theatre from Pace University. Since then, she has performed across the country, originating roles for Theatre by the Sea and Theatre for the New City with luminaries such as Baayork Lee, Jay Binder, and Graciela Danielle.
In 2021, Erica returned to Southern California to earn her MFA in Acting from the California Institute of the Arts.
Sometimes she records silly voices for animated characters and reassuring advisories for drug commercials.
When not performing, Erica is a collage artist, long-distance hiker, and devoted mother to her rescue cat, Nicky.
